Author Bio
Bob Spearman graduated with a bachelor’s of science in electrical engineering from The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina, before earning a master’s degree in management from the University of Texas.
After thirty-eight years working as an engineer and manager for high tech companies in Atlanta, Dallas, St. Petersburg, Salt Lake City, and Charleston, Spearman opened his own consulting firm called Edisto Solutions.
Having worked as a lifeguard in Myrtle Beach in the 1970s, Bob has always been interested in the area. With the encouragement of his wife and a local writer’s group, he published his first Myrtle Beach mystery novel, Turf and Surf, in the spring of 2014.
A second novel, Hard Road, based in Charleston, SC was published in February 2015. A book signing tour is in progress. He enjoys meeting with readers and the book signing environment, so look for one near you.
As with most writers who love the craft, the pen has not been idle. More South Carolina Lowcountry-based fiction is in work. His third novel, Shrimping Gold, also based in Charleston, SC, is underway. Despite a busy schedule, he hopes to have this book released late in 2015. A fourth novel has been outlined, and a collection of short stories is percolating. Only a regular job, vacations with his wife, golf, grandchildren, and inspiration will dictate the completion of these writings.
Bob currently lives in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, with his wife, Barb. They have two children and three grandchildren.
